'Night Before Christmas', from John Machen (1994), is a sport of 'White Christmas'. The overall size is 30x18" with 29-36" scapes. It is a rapid grower with a semi-upright habit. The leaves are lance-shaped with a rounded base. They are cream colored in early summer, then turning to white. There is a very wide green margin which occupies about 2/3 of the leaf. The flowers are pale lavender and tubular in shape. Absolutely one of the best ever white-center hostas!
